bio
Evren began learning music in early childhood, where they developed a love of classical studies. After beginning piano at the age of 8, they became enamored with the instrument’s flexibility and range. Their curiosity and passion for music led them to pursue two music degrees after graduating high school at the age of 16.
Evren began teaching officially in 2021, and has studied performance and pedagogy under several highly respected educators, including Professor Kate Stevens, Dr. Diane Lange, Professor Astrid Morales, Professor Gabriel Sanchez, and Dr. Jooeun Pak. They are also an experienced collaborative pianist and have performed with students at the University of Texas at Arlington, Metropolitan State University, and the University of Colorado, Denver; multiple chamber ensembles; and the MSU and UTA orchestras. In addition to piano, Evren has performed as a violinist with multiple orchestras including the UTA Symphony as a featured orchestra at TMEA, and as a vocalist in several choirs and ensembles (most notably in collaboration with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra).
They are particularly interested in the science and physics of sound in different spaces, and are currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Colorado, Denver. They are also continuing to study piano under Dr. Stephanie Cheng of Denver University.
